This is an Open Call for artworks on the theme of ‘Say It With Flowers’ for an upcoming exhibition at The Northlight Gallery, Stromness, for Fair Saturday.

Artworks must be handmade by humans – and in any medium.

The exhibition opens on Friday 27 November.

What is Fair Saturday?

Fair Saturday is a global cultural event in response to the mass consumerism of Black Friday. Every year The Orkney News joins with the Northlight Gallery Stromness to host an exhibition for Fair Saturday. In 2026 the exhibition will again be working with Orkney Rape and Sexual Assault Service (ORSAS) as our chosen charity.

For more information and to arrange handing in your work please contact Cary Welling on the Northlight Website .
