Cloudy with rain pushing across Orkney during the morning, before extending over Shetland in the afternoon. Strong southeast winds at times with some mist especially around eastern coastal areas. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

Rain clearing Orkney during the evening and becoming lighter and patchier for Shetland but lingering for much of the night. Fresh southeasterly winds continuing. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Sunday 19th November:

A cloudy day with outbreaks of rain for Shetland and patchy drizzle for much of the day. Orkney is likely to be drier with some brightness, fresh southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

A brighter start to the weekend although rain may take some time to clear Orkney on Monday morning. Light winds, mainly bright Tuesday before stronger westerly winds and rain Wednesday.
