Today 20th November:

Cloud and outbreaks of rain clearing Shetland early afternoon then becoming brighter from the north. Low cloud and showery rain mostly clearing Orkney around late afternoon. Feeling rather cold with brisk northeasterly winds, easing towards evening. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Tonight:

Any rain across Orkney will quickly clear south. Otherwise it will be dry with clear spells and easing winds leading to a touch of frost in places. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Tuesday 21st November:

A dry, bright and cold morning with light winds. Cloud thickening in the afternoon to bring outbreaks of rain accompanied by strong southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Rain clearing on Wednesday morning then bright spells and showers, these turning wintry on Thursday. Occasional sleet or snow showers on Friday. Cold and windy with gales at times.
