The Demon King has kidnapped the beloved princess of Goodereste. The Hero Dawner has gathered comrades and proclaimed that he will rescue her from the demon’s clutches. This is not the plot of this series.

Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle is kind of about what I have written above. But it’s not about the hero’s quest to defeat the demon king and rescue the princess. No you see Princess Syalis doesn’t really care too much about the whole kidnapping, her imperative is about making her bed the most comfortable as possible and getting very lovely sleeps.

Each episode is broken into around 3 sections or quests that feature the princess going out and working on making sleeping arrangements more comfortable much to the befuddlement of her captors. NOT EVEN DEATH WILL STOP HER!

For those wondering, this is a comedy. And a very light easy viewing one that is great to enjoy when you need to wind down from some tense complex stressing events. No just sit back and enjoy a cute little funny series as this princess just walks through all the plans of the demon king’s forces just to make her bed more comfortable

You do occasionally see the works of Dawner the hero and his team, but can piece together he’s not too good at his job, so the main cast are those that live in the Demon Castle.

There are a few heart felt moments that have the question of just what is the issue between demons and humans especially since the princess has no hostility to the residents of Demon Castle, to the point she’s often willing to just pose as a friend so she can use some of them for materials for sleeping.

The manga is still ongoing so while the series has a ending it’s not a proper ending more just a semi ending for people while the clear knowledge is that the story is ongoing. Looking at the manga there is A LOT they can adapt if they choose to do more. But with this having come out around 3 years ago by the time of writing, chances of that are slim. Still This is a nice wee show to enjoy for you and with a dub for people not keen on reading sub titles. I say have a fun time and enjoy.
