Today, Thursday 28th March, voters go to the polls in Stromness & South Isles to elect a local councillor.

The candidates are Janette Park and Magnus Thomson. Voters mark their choice with a no. 1

Polls are open from 7:00am to 10:00pm. Votes will be counted immediately after the close of poll and a result expected in the early hours of the Friday morning.

 There are two polling stations:

• Stromness Warehouse Buildings – Stromness voters
• One Stop Shop in Kirkwall for South Isles voters

You do not need your polling card with vote, but if you do have it, it is helpful to bring it.
