A mainly dry and bright start with some sunny spells. However towards midday low cloud, haar and patchy drizzle will spread across the Isles, the best of any afternoon brighter spells across western parts. Occasionally fresh southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 14 °C.
Tonight:
A misty, murky evening and night with fog patches and patchy drizzle across both Orkney and Shetland. Occasionally fresh southeasterly winds, easing across Orkney overnight. Minimum temperature 7 °C.
Sunday 5th May:
Mostly cloudy, misty with patchy fog and drizzle, although some brighter spells expected across western Shetland and central Orkney in the afternoon. Occasionally fresh southeasterly winds over Shetland easing. Maximum temperature 14 °C.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Low cloud, mist and patchy drizzle on Monday, but brighter late for Orkney. Dry with sunny spells Tuesday. Becoming cloudier Wednesday with patchy rain later as southerly winds freshen.
