At a recent Art exhibition we bought this piece by Jennifer Litts

My observation was…..

“ ‘How Fragile Is A Fragile Soul?’ will speak to all the fragile souls out there who know that some are more fragile than others, some in different ways, and that some can cope with it better than others.”

I’m reminded of when I’d been very ill, was recovering and, because when they saw me out and about I looked my old robust self,  folk thought that I could do things that I still couldn’t do, because I was still…fragile.

Friend Andrew said that people can see a broken leg, but they can’t  see a broken spirit.  Which is a kindly observation.

I’d amend it slightly to say that they don’t see, but they could, if they paid attention.

There’s a lot said about mental health awareness, but what I observe is that people are too wrapped up in themselves to tune into others.

Some do, most don’t.

And me?  I’m stronger now, but the fragility is still there – which might be a surprise to some folk reading this!
