It will be mostly cloudy with rain or showers, but drier and brighter across Shetland during the morning. Winds light or moderate from the east or southeast. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Tonight:

Showers clearing Shetland this evening leaving some late sunny then clear spells overnight. Cloudier for Orkney with patchy rain at first but becoming dry with clearer spells developing. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Monday 18 May :

A mainly dry day with some good sunny spells. However the odd light afternoon shower not to be ruled out for Orkney. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Windy and rather cloudy on Tuesday with a few outbreaks of rain. Further showers on Wednesday but winds easing. Drier and sunnier spells developing on Thursday.
