Seeing Frances Pelly’s way-marker stone for the St. Magnus Way, by the bay in Finstown, got me thinking about forgiveness.
I didn’t feel like a big walk, so we went to the Bu, in Orphir, to mooch about a bit, on the beach there.

Orkney has more than its fair share of brochs (aka Iron Age Roundhouses). Some are in a fine state of repair, some, just grassy mounds in the landscape.
