Rhoda Grant, Labour MSP for the Highlands and Islands has described the latest figures for drugs deaths in Scotland as ‘devastating’ for individuals and their families.
“It’s a callousness to the value we place on human lives that the UK Government has displayed in legislation going through the London Parliament.”
On 21/07/2021, PHS (Public Health Scotland) noted that no data has been received from the NHS Orkney laboratory since 19/07/2021. PHS are working with NHS Orkney to resolve this issue.
The cumulative total of positive covid cases in Orkney has now reached 107.
The cumulative total of positive covid test results recorded in Orkney now stands at 92.
A new positive test result has been recorded in Orkney for Covid19 bringing the cumulative total to 75.

From Friday 2nd of April, the message in Scotland changes from ‘Stay at Home’ to ‘Stay Local’. Restrictions on non-essential travel remain in place and some services will be able to re-open on Monday 5th of April.

The public is being urged to not drop their guard as positive cases of Covid19 continue to rise. Today’s figures also saw the first increase in Orkney for several days bringing in the cumulative total in the islands to 41.
