UNISON has confirmed that strike dates in waste and recycling, schools and early years, that have already been notified to the local authorities will continue as planned during the period of consultation.

Prospect members working in air traffic control for Highlands and Islands Airports Limited (HIAL) are tomorrow, 29th July, taking part in a one day strike over plans to centralise air traffic control in Inverness.
Airports that will be directly affected are Dundee, Inverness, Wick, Kirkwall, Sumburgh, Stornoway, and Benbecula.
“We can confirm that the strike action on Alwyn, Dunbar and Elgin platforms has gone ahead as planned. Production has been stopped and the wells have been shut.”
