A limited amount of space for exhibiting their work has led the Art & Design Students of Orkney College UHI to use digital technology to showcase their work.
The work will feature students on the NC Art & Design course, Introduction to Art and the design and textile classes.
The group also worked with Phill Hellewell from Westray Digital Art who created the online platform that they will be using.
A launch party will be held at the Sound Archive in Kirkwall on Thursday 31st May 7pm showing the virtual exhibition. The students will be chatting with people who join them from all over the world as well as people who want to attend the event.
Orkney College UHI Art & Design lecturer, Kirsteen Stewart commented ahead of the virtual exhibition launch;
“This year we are taking a fresh and innovative approach to the annual exhibition. This reflects how we teach our students, the techniques we work with and our ability to think big.”
Student Vicky Redpath Watson said;
