And also, in an exhibition at Northlight Gallery, in Stromness….

I’m a bit of a fan, so I was pleased to see that he’s having another exhibition of his work, at Tankerness House Museum, Kirkwall, from the 9th February to 2nd March 2019 – 10:30 to 12:30 and 13:30 to 17:00 – Monday to Saturday – Admission Free.

If you’ve seen his previous work, and seen how he ‘sees’, you’ll be interested to go along and see what you make of these images.

“This is a development of work shown at previous exhibitions and is composed entirely of material related to the remains of military structures in Orkney.  The photographs are an exploration of the way in which these utilitarian structures can sometimes take on a beautiful, mysterious or monumental quality, and also of the marks  and traces left by people who built, used or have subsequently visited these spaces.“Ian Collins

People – it’s something we like to do – put our mark on things. We don’t change much.
