On 26th of January 1926 John Logie Baird (13 August 1888 – 14 June 1946) from Helensburgh, Dumbartonshire, Scotland,was the first person in the world to demonstrate a working television system using his televisor system from the BBC in London.

But how to convince the sceptical, hide-bound, select and exclusive scientific world?….Would they admit that a wretched nonentity working with soap boxes in a garret had done something which many of them had stated was not possible?John Logie Baird”
