On 10th of January 1958 Jerry Lee Lewis topped the UK charts with ‘Great Balls of Fire’.

Back in the day when young people bought records and played them on a ‘record player’, The Charts were very important. Young people had a power of purchase like never before.
Written by Otis Blackwell and Jack Hammer, the song has stood the test of time.
It is hard to imagine how staid much of the ‘popular’ music of the day had been but Jerry Lee Lewis electrified and shocked with his music …… and his lifestyle.
