Weather Forecast: Mainly dry with sunny spells

Today 17th June:

A mainly dry, bright day with some good spells of sunshine around. A little more cloud likely, especially across Orkney, this afternoon with perhaps the odd shower. Feeling quite warm in the sunshine with mainly light southerly or southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.


Any showers soon dying out then some late sunshine this evening. Cloud increases overnight with a few showers later as winds turn westerly and freshen. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Friday 18th June:

A few early showers but generally a dry day with some good spells of sunshine. A little cooler than recent days although the fresh westerly breeze will ease later. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

A fine and dry weekend with some good spells of sunshine and light winds, although cloudier on Sunday afternoon with a freshening easterly breeze. Cloudier Monday with occasional rain.
