Apart from the odd it shower it will be a mainly dry day. Rather cloudy but more northern parts of Shetland may see some brightness. Light mainly east or northeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Tonight:
A dry start this evening. Thickening cloud will bring rain to all areas overnight, occasionally heavy across Orkney later. Fresh to strong southeasterly winds developing in the early hours. Minimum temperature 5 °C.
Tuesday 21st March:
Rain soon clearing Orkney then a dry and brighter afternoon. Cloudy with rain and misty low cloud across Shetland, turning drier in the evening. Winds easing. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Wet and windy on Wednesday, drier and less windy weather extending north through the day. Bright spells and a few showers on Friday.
