A slight respite in the weather brought the crowds out to Kirkwall BID’s Festival of Light which was running from 1st to 4th of February.

Outside on Broad Street, the Travelling Light Circus entertained the onlookers by dancing with double ended fire torches. When the display finished many people made their way into the St Magnus Cathedral, Light of the North, to see the indoor installations.

The evening was brought to a close by the Kirkwall City Pipe Band.
