It has taken 5 years to complete the renovations at Sanday Mens’ Shed and on Sunday 18th of August the grand opening will take place. Rona Towrie and Steven Muir will cut the ribbon at 12:30 in memory of Jim Towrie and John Muir, two of the Shed’s founders. Also present will be the Right Hon. Alistair Carmichael MP for Orkney and Shetland.

Food will be served from midday and there’s a bountiful choice with a BBQ, teas, coffees, cakes and soft drinks, also local musicians and activities for children.

The event is free of charge, however, if you would like to contribute donations are welcome.
