By Bernie Bell.

The following is a purely personal selection of what appealed most strongly to me.

I’ve previously written of Samantha Gray’s work http://www.spanglefish.com/berniesblog/blog.asp?blogid=16389, and was pleased to see her prints featured here – mostly un-framed in a rack, with this exception,

Next…’Through a glass: Black hammer (3) by Martin Laird

I have a liking for sparkly things, and Sally Moore’s  ‘Smaller Lipped Drop out Bowl’ caught my eye

Jerry Wood plays with words in the title of his piece ‘Wrack & Ruin’

Then upstairs, to an exhibition entitled  ‘Duthchas’

being work by Lesley Mackay of Deerness, Orkney  and Marina MacLeod of Durness, Sutherland

As often when viewing an exhibition in the ‘Ship Of Fools’, it’s worth looking out of the window too

Also not part of the exhibition, but of interest – a chair which I’d be cautious about sitting in!

Back downstairs, there’s a good selection of cards on display and for sale

One of which, by Adrian Smith, came home with me and is now on the wall in my den

in good company

The exhibition runs ‘Ship of Fools’ until the Science Festival at the beginning of September.
