Last year, the Orkney Archaeology Society had calendars left over, which they gave away. This year, Hillside Animal Sanctuary has calendars left over, which they are giving away.
It occurred to me that maybe people aren’t using actual calendars as much as they used to – everything will be on their computer, or even on their ‘phone. Rather than an actual, paper calendar with reminders of birthdays, exhibitions to see, things that need doing etc…it’s all in the machine.
Trouble is…what about if the machine isn’t working?
It’s a shame if this is happening, as calendars provide income for many charities – and it means you have a pleasing/interesting image on your wall.
We have a Hillside Animal Sanctuary Calendar – which we bought! – in the kitchen to remind us of the things we need reminding of

We have a calendar which someone gave us from 2023, which I have on the wall in my den and I keep on re-cycling as the images are so intriguing. It’s a camouflage bodypainting and photography calendar made by artist Vilija Vitkute

We have a couple of images from past Caithness Broch Project calendars on the wall in The Office

Unfortunately – Caithness Broch Project don’t appear to be producing calendars any more. Sign of the times?
