Sunny intervals and a few showers, but a fair amount of dry weather at times. Clouding over from the west with showers becoming more frequent later. Windy with southerly gales and feeling fresher. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

Further blustery showers in the southerly gales which will continue through the evening, but winds easing later in the night. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Monday 9th January:

Another showery day on Monday, perhaps showers less frequent for Orkney. Fresh westerly winds continuing. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

A cold start on Tuesday but wind and rain soon following, blustery showery conditions on Wednesday, potentially some brighter weather on Thursday.
