Numbers of recorded cases in Scotland continue to be of great concern including another positive test in Orkney.
As well as the large numbers being recorded for the virus in the 5 Health Board areas under stricter measures Orkney also recorded yet another case and the Western Isles 2 more.
Fifteen newly reported deaths have occurred of people who tested positive for Covid19 in Scotland. The figures released by the Scottish Government today (20th October) also record 1,456 new cases – including one new case in Orkney.
Scotland’s Test & Protect service was rolled out across Scotland on 28 May and has since launched a ‘Protect Scotland’ app to assist in contact tracing.
Veterans can download the app to access support in areas including housing, employment, finances, relationships, physical and mental health, and more.
Richard Lochead also thanked students for ” playing their role at this very difficult time when they are trying to benefit from further and higher education against a backdrop of a global pandemic.”
Scotland’s cases of covid continue to rise. Today’s published figures show a rise of 714 new confirmed cases . This is 11.5% of those people newly tested. In Orkney the officially confirmed number now totals 22.
As the number of positive test results for Covid continue to surge in Scotland, today 24th September at 465, Orkney’s total officially stands at 20.
