Today, 10th of July, is the start of the mandatory wearing of face masks/coverings in shops for most people.
Orkney’s retailers have been working very hard to make shopping safer for both workers and consumers.
This coming Friday sees the mandatory use of masks/face coverings in shops in Scotland, presumably also in other indoor locations where social distancing is difficult to achieve.
Maree Todd heard from two Orkney residents, Fiona Robertson & Tricia Sutherland, who have both been working flat out to produce face coverings to those in their local community.
