There is a lovely display of Christmas trees in the centre of Kirkwall.
The tree outside St Magnus Cathedral, Kirkwall is shining its lights out to cheer on shoppers and passers by.
It is a symbol of the lasting friendship between the county of Vestland in Norway and Orkney and always heralds the start of the Festive season in the islands when the Christmas tree arrives.
The shop is open Monday to Saturday from 11am to 2pm.
Arcadia Park is located opposite the new Balfour Hospital in Kirkwall and the space is being transformed.
