Scary Happenings in Kirkwall Toun

With the nights fair drawing in, with ghosts and ghouls taking over the dark – there was a Spooktacular parade of monsters, witches, ghosts, fairies and a host of other creatures in Kirkwall.

Kirkwall BID’s Halloween Parade took place on Saturday 27th of October starting off at 3pm from Bridge Street. Led by Kirkwall City Pipe Band and Just Dance it made its way followed by a host of other creatures to come to rest for a short spell outside St Magnus Cathedral.

A short pause allowed stragglers to catch up and struck fear into the watching citizens.

Then it disappeared off down Victoria Street.

The Orkney News livestreamed the event to our Facebook page but the spooks were at work and tried to destroy the footage. The intrepid reporters held their ground and the film is the only moving evidence of this scary episode in the history of the toun.
